Alexandria, Va. – Alexandria Police continue to investigate a shooting that occurred on Saturday, August 26, involving a group of motorcycle, dirt bike, or all-terrain vehicle operators tracked through Arlington County and then to Alexandria. While in Alexandria the group gathered at two neighboring gas stations in the 700-block S. Patrick Street when persons within the group began shooting at each other.

There are two confirmed injured victims of this incident. Victim #1, a 30-year-old male, was located near the National Harbor and transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound and is non-life threatening. Victim #2, a 30-year-old male, was identified at a local hospital with a gunshot wound and is non-life threatening.

Anyone with information reference to the shooting is asked to contact Alexandria Police Detective B. Smith at 703-746-6159. Anyone with video, audio, or digital images relating to the shooting can upload anonymously to https://alexandriapdva.evidence.com/axon/community-request/public/700spatrickshooting.

Collaboration between Alexandria and Arlington County Police, alongside our regional partners, will continue for this investigation, as well as our ongoing efforts to leverage our collective resources to keep our communities safe.

As a reminder to the community, it is illegal to ride a dirt bike or ATV on public roads in Virginia. (Virginia Code § 46.2-915.1)
