Alexandria, VA - The Alexandria Police Department is conducting a death investigation. This afternoon, at approximately 1:27 PM, the Alexandra Police Department responded to a call for the report of a deceased person in the river in the 4100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue, near Four Mile Park. Officers discovered an adult male who was pronounced deceased on the scene.  

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy and determine the cause and manner of death.
