Alexandria, VA – The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred last night, April 19 at approximately 10:15 p.m. at 22 Canterbury Square. APD officers located a 19-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the ground in the parking lot. Officers began life-saving measures until Alexandria Fire Department Medics took over care, however, the male succumbed to his injuries.

The Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Detectives with the APD Criminal Investigations Division processed evidence at the scene, canvassed the complex, and interviewed residents until early morning. The investigation is active and ongoing.
