Alexandria, VA – The Alexandria Police Department announces charges brought against the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed 19-year-old Abdullahi Mumin, which occurred in the 4700 block of King Street on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Jilmar Doria-Medina of Fairfax, has been charged with:

• Aggravated Manslaughter (Virginia Code 18.2-36.1.B)
• DWI - Elevated BAC .15 - .20 (Virginia Code 18.2-270.A)

He remains in custody at Fairfax Adult Detention Center without bond.
