The Alexandria Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a critical missing person.
Virginia Richards, an 80-year-old Alexandria resident, was last seen on March 4, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m. in the 0 block of W. Del Ray Avenue.
Mrs. Richards is described as:
- 80-year-old female
- 5’3”, approximately 125 pounds
- Gray hair, blue eyes
- Last seen wearing black pants and may be wearing slippers
Police Search Activity:
Alexandria Police officers are actively searching the Del Ray neighborhood. Residents may see officers conducting searches throughout the area, including in yards and residential spaces. Search efforts also include Arlington County Police Department providing air support and a Virginia State Police bloodhound assisting on the ground.
