Housing 2040 to Discuss Financial Tools for Affordable Housing and Homeowner Programs and Resources at Virtual May AHAAC Meeting
The Alexandria Housing Affordability Advisory Committee (AHAAC) will hold its next monthly meeting virtually on Wednesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. As part of the Housing 2040 Master Plan (Housing 2040) process, staff will provide an update on two projects: 1) Financial tools and sources for affordable housing; 2) Homeowner programs and resources. If you are interested in learning more or providing input on these projects, you are encouraged to attend! Interpretation will be available virtually in Spanish. This is the fifth in a series of topical Housing 2040 meetings.

Background: The 2013 Housing Master Plan (HMP) established principles, goals, and strategies to address Alexandria's housing needs through 2025. In collaboration with the community and local partners, the City is undertaking an update to the HMP through 2040. Presentations and recordings of the Housing 2040 meetings, including the April Preservation Panel Discussion, are available at alexandriava.gov/HousingPlan. Starting with the Housing Needs Assessment, the Housing 2040 process will establish new housing affordability goals and examine housing policies, programs, and tools to support all Alexandria residents and workers.
