Affordable Homeownership Opportunity — 4 South Van Dorn Street

The City of Alexandria Office of Housing continues to market a resale-restricted condominium unit at 4 South Van Dorn Street, Unit 603, Alexandria, VA 22304. The one bedroom/one bath, 750 square feet, unit is listed at a reduced price of $193,896 and is part of West End Condominiums. This unit includes a private balcony, granite countertops, and a spacious dining area. Amenities include swimming pool, laundry facilities, community center, fitness center and more. An open house is being held on Saturday, July 11 from 2 to 4 p.m.

To qualify for this home, purchasers must be first-time homebuyers (defined as not having held a homeownership interest in the past three years) who live or work within the City’s corporate limits and have a total (gross) household income at or below 100% of area median income ($116,300 for a one-person household, $132,900 for a two-person household, $149,500 for a three-person household, $166,100 for a four-person household). Eligible purchasers may receive a City shared equity loan up to $50,000 through the City’s Flexible Homeownership Assistance Program. 

This home may also be eligible for reduced mortgage interest rate financing through the Virginia Housing (VH) Sponsoring Partnerships & Revitalizing Communities (SPARC) program.
