
The City of Alexandria Wants to Help You Improve Your Neighborhood!

Join the Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities (RPCA) PARKnerships program in our annual pursuit to connect local businesses and organizations with City-owned parks, gardens, trails, and recreational spaces to enhance their beauty. The Community Matching Fund provides up to $50,000 in financial support for projects that enhance the City's public spaces.
Who can participate?
Any community group that resides or operates in the City of Alexandria is eligible to apply for the matching fund. Their proposal must showcase the ability to enhance community strength and well-being through improvements to parks and recreation facilities.
How to apply!
You must send a proposal to RPCA’s PARKnerships program starting today April 7 up until May 26. Beginning July 1, 2025, a total of $100,000 in City matching funds will be available. The City will match every dollar you raise, up to $50,000, which allows a minimum of four proposals to be selected. Awards may vary given in any amount between $5,000 (for project totals of $10,000) to $50,000 (for project totals of $100,000).
