Become a Mentor in Alexandria!
Join the Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA) on Tuesday, June 24 at 5 p.m. for our Alexandria Mentoring Partnership (AMP) Open House.
This event will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn about AMP and the various mentoring programs in Alexandria, hear about the powerful impact of mentoring directly from volunteer mentors and program staff, and sign up to become a caring adult mentor. You’ll be able to speak directly with program representatives, ask questions, and receive informational materials to help guide your decision.
In addition to learning about mentoring, you can enjoy quick and creative activities with the RPCA’s Mobile Art Lab and take home your own piece of art with fun giveaways.
This summer’s AMP Open House will have a game show theme! When you arrive, you’ll receive a “Wheel of Mentoring” card to track your visits to each program table. Once you’ve collected enough stamps, you’ll be invited to select a Mentoring Jeopardy question for a chance to win a prize.
Join us for a fun, informative, and meaningful evening, and take the first step toward making a lasting difference in a young person’s life.
