City of Alexandria to host Historic Holmes Run Stream Cleanup

Start this Earth Month with a splash!

Stream cleanups are a great way for volunteers to help remove litter and debris from stream corridors, improve water quality, protect wildlife, and reduce pollution entering the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay. City staff and volunteers with the Alice Ferguson Foundation will provide the tools and guidance needed for attendees to participate in a stream cleanup along Holmes Run - just bring sturdy shoes and a willingness to learn and make a difference!

When: Saturday, April 11, at 9 a.m.
Where: Historic Holmes Run located along the parking lot next to Beatley Central Library in All Veterans Park. 299 North Pickett Street
