In-Person at City Hall
Treasury Windows - City Hall - First Floor
City Hall is located at 301 King Street and open weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Treasury Windows are located on the First Floor, Room 1510. At the windows we accept cash, check, money order, Visa/MasterCard/Discover cards, and debit cards.
As of January 9, 2026 at 5pm, public in-person services will cease at City Hall due to the impending building construction.
Beginning January 12, 2026 at 8am, public in-person services are available at 4850 Mark Center Dr., Suite 2011, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Payments may also be made at alexandriava.gov/payments or by calling 703.746.4800. Additionally, a drop box will be installed at Bankers Square (100 N. Pitt St.), install date to be announced.
Dropbox at City Hall
The City offers a 24-hours-a-day dropbox on the Royal Street side of City Hall at 301 King Street which accepts checks and money orders. Please do not put cash in the dropbox.
In-Person at the West End Finance Office

The West End Finance Office is located at the Del Pepper Community Resource Center 4850 Mark Center Dr, and open weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Finance Windows are located on the Second Floor, Suite 2011.
