If your community or business group would like to learn more about civilian oversight of law enforcement in the City of Alexandria, we invite you to connect with our office. Our team is available to present at your next meeting on a range of topics, including: an overview of civilian oversight, the history and impact of oversight in Alexandria, the complaint and investigations process, and other related subjects. We welcome the opportunity to share information about our office and the Independent Community Policing Review Board, and to collaborate with the community on enhancing policing in Alexandria. The Alexandria Independent Policing Auditor (AIPA) Office held an online discussion regarding changes to enabling ordinances 4-1-5 thru 4-1-7 and 2-4-220 thru 2-4-229. Following an update from AIPA, community members will be encouraged to share their feedback and recommendations for civilian oversight of law enforcement in Alexandria.
