Energy Awareness Month
October is Energy Awareness Month
This October, join the Eco-City Alexandria community in exploring ways to save energy, save money, and make more sustainable choices at home, at work, and on the go.
Each week will focus on a different energy and sustainability theme, with helpful tips, resources, and events to help you take action.
- Transportation Week (October 4 – 10): Explore sustainable ways to get around Alexandria.
- Homes Week (October 11 – 17): Discover ways to make your home healthier, more energy efficient, and comfortable.
Do you live in an Eco-City Home? All month long, we’ll be spreading the word on the Eco-City Homes program at Farmers’ Markets across the City. Sign up and get a FREE energy efficiency kit!
- Waste and Reuse Week (October 18 – 24): Rethink waste and find new ways for what we already have.
- Green Buildings and Landscaping Week (October 25 – 31): See how we’re creating more efficient buildings and healthier outdoor spaces.
