In May 2023, the City of Alexandria's Race and Social Equity Office (RASE) launched the Equity Index Map. This tool identifies disparities in key social and economic outcomes to help staff and community partners make equitable and inclusive decisions. The map supports data-driven decision-making with an equity lens and provides data and information the city and community organizations can use to advance equity for all.
