Seasonal events for seniors change throughout the year. The offerings listed below vary each season, so check the website or pick up a printed guide for the most up to date list of programs and activities.
Senior Specialty Programs
Senior Specialty programs offer engaging opportunities designed to support active, healthy aging. Unless otherwise noted, these programs are for City residents only. A Recreation Center ID card is required and provided free with proof of residency. For details, click the links below or call the Registration & Reservation Office at 703.746.5414.
Power Plus Clubs
Power-Plus Clubs are ongoing & free unless otherwise noted. Clubs include game nights, social hours, dance, fitness, movie nights, Zumba, walking clubs & more. Please see the latest Senior guide above for details.
Power Plus Sports
Click on the Senior guide above to view all our sports offerings, which include pickleball open play & adult sports leagues (coed volleyball, coed soccer, coed & men's softball). Robust Walking

Successful Aging Committee (SAC)
A group of program managers who collaborate to share information & provide several citywide activities for older adults in Alexandria. For additional information, please call 703.746.5429 or 703.746.5676. SAC events include: Dance for All Ages, Senior Health & Fitness Fair & Holiday Luncheon.

Daytime program for older adults with physical or cognitive limitations. It offers recreation, activities & meals that support well-being, while providing respite and support for caregivers.
