Project Status
- July 2026: The piers and boardwalk removals are complete. Site restoration will be scheduled this summer. The work may include additional riprap and adjustments to pathway connections as needed. For safety, pathway connections are fenced off. Driftwood will be monitored for removal as needed.
- June 2026: Demolition will begin the first week of June and is expected to take 2-3 weeks for completion.

- Procurement is underway to retain a structural engineer who will complete the structural analysis of the boardwalk and piers.
- October 2023
- The pier and boardwalk were closed to ensure the safety of the community following inspections that determined the structures are not suitable for use. Further engineering investigations will be done to assess the structural conditions and recommendations for the next steps.
