Alexandria West Planning Project Update

Many thanks to everyone who has participated in the Alexandria West planning process! Please check out the following planning updates:   

Project Updates: 

• The Revised Draft Plan (dated August 23) and accompanying staff report and materials are now posted for public review on the September 5 Planning Commission docket. The AlexWest materials can be found here. Please note that the AlexWest Design Guidelines are still in the process of being developed and will be scheduled for Planning Commission and City Council consideration later this Fall. 
• Public comments that were provided on the June 25 AlexWest Draft Plan along with staff responses are posted on the project webpage.  
• Public testimony is welcome in-person or on Zoom at the September 5 Planning Commission Public Hearing and the September 14 City Council Public Hearing. Details are available on the docket. 
• Language interpretation will be provided in Spanish, Amharic, and Arabic at both public hearings.

All AlexWest Plan information will continue to be communicated through eNews and WhatsApp, and shared with community groups, as well as posted on the project webpage, where you can also find all Plan background information, materials, and a project schedule.
