The deadline for the City of Alexandria’s 2025 Business, Professional & Occupational License (BPOL) is fast approaching. Businesses must file their renewal application and pay their 2025 BPOL tax by Monday, March 3, 2025. 

The renewal and payment can be remitted online using the Business Tax Portal. 

For filing and payment by mail, preprinted renewal forms can also be downloaded under the correspondence section of the business license account on the online Business Tax portal.  Renewal and payment should be mailed to the City of Alexandria Finance Department – Business Tax, P O Box 34580, Alexandria, VA 22334-0850, with a postmark no later than March 3rd.
