The City of Alexandria invites residents to participate in several key events this week as the Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) budget process begins.
Tuesday, February 24
FY27 Proposed Budget Presentation to City Council
- City Manager James Parajon will present the City of Alexandria’s FY27 Proposed Budget to City Council at 7 p.m. during the City Council Legislative Meeting at the Del Pepper Community Resource Center (4850 Mark Center Dr.).

Wednesday, February 25
Work Session #1: Capital Improvement Program (CIP) & Revenues
- City Council will hold the first FY27 budget work session focused on the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and revenues. Work sessions provide an opportunity for Council to review and discuss details of the proposed budget.
- The public is invited to listen to the session either in person or online at alexandriava.gov/Dockets. Public comments are not received during work sessions, but can always be made online.
Thursday, February 26
Community FY27 Budget Presentation
- The City Manager will host a public presentation on the FY27 Proposed Budget from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Charles Houston Recreation Center (901 Wythe St.).
