About the Memorial
The City of Alexandria, in partnership with Congressman Don Beyer, will install a memorial bench, a descriptive sign and trees, honoring the 67 individuals who lost their lives on board American Airlines Flight 5342 and the PAT 25 U.S. Army helicopter in the tragic collision that occurred outside of Ronald Reagan National Airport on January 29, 2025. This memorial will be located in the northeastern portion of Rivergate City Park (2 Montgomery St.) along the Potomac River.
The unveiling of the memorial will take place on Monday, June 1 at 5:30 p.m. at Rivergate City Park.
