The Alexandria Alcohol Safety Action Program (ASAP) is committed to delivering professional, effective intervention services, including supervision, education, and treatment coordination for individuals involved in alcohol- and drug-related traffic offenses. Through these efforts, the program advances its primary objective:
Enhancing public safety by reducing impaired driving and minimizing alcohol- and drug-related crashes within the City of Alexandria.
The Alexandria ASAP operates as a locally administered program aligned with the standards and requirements of the Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP). The program reflects the City’s commitment to accountability, rehabilitation, and evidence-based practices that promote safer roadways and healthier communities.

Hours of Operation
Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., all paperwork and payments are accepted.
After 2:00 p.m., our phone system will remain active. However, staff will be conducting case management during that time.
