Overnight and early morning severe thunderstorms have impacted multiple intersections throughout the City, resulting in power outages and traffic signal disruptions. At this time, no homes or businesses have been damaged.

City crews are working to clear and address affected intersections. Drivers approaching intersections with non-functioning traffic signals should treat them as four-way stops.

Affected intersections include:

• Seminary Road / Beauregard Street
• Seminary Road / N. Howard Street
• Seminary Road / N. Quaker Lane
• N. Howard Street / W. Braddock Road
• Van Dorn Street / W. Braddock Road
• Van Dorn Street / King Street
• King Street / S. Taylor Street
• King Street / S. Wakefield Street

Report downed power lines or power outages in the City of Alexandria to Dominion Energy by calling 866.366.4357 (866-DOM-HELP) or by visiting the Dominion Energy Outage Center. Treat all downed power lines as dangerous and stay away from them.
