Due to inclement weather, all City of Alexandria offices will close at 3 p.m. February 11. For the status of city classes, events and programs, check the City Calendar at alexandriava.gov/Calendar.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning until 7 a.m. Wednesday, February 12. Heavy snow from 4 to 6 inches is possible.

Crews will stage equipment and prepare to work 24 hours a day to clear roads if necessary. Residents and businesses can help by staying off the roads during and after snowfall, not parking on snow emergency routes, promptly clearing sidewalks and entrances, not shoveling snow into the street, and clearing snow from around fire hydrants and storm drains.
