You're Invited to the Alexandria Economic Summit on Thursday, May 8
On Thursday, May 8, the City of Alexandria and the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership will host the Alexandria Economic Summit.
It’s your chance to learn more about Alexandria’s economy, approach to economic development and the trends shaping our city. Come to share ideas and feedback on how the City should chart a course forward.
You’ll hear from keynote speaker Kevin Ervin Kelley, co-founder of Shook Kelley, a nationally recognized strategy and design firm, and the author of Irreplaceable: How to Create Extraordinary Places that Bring People Together. With decades of experience designing spaces that strengthen community connections, Kevin brings a global perspective on how thoughtful planning and design can shape vibrant, resilient cities.
You’ll also hear from Jon Roberts, Managing Partner of TIP Strategies; Stephanie Jennings, Research Director for the Mid-Atlantic at CBRE; and Meghan Welch, Vice President, Knowledge Work, Virginia Economic Development Partnership, about the national, regional, and state trends that affect our local economy.
And you’ll have a chance to share your experience and ideas in break-out sessions and conversations.
The event will run from 3 to 7 p.m., but you’re welcome to come to as little or as much as you can. And if you can’t make it, don’t worry—a full recording will be posted to the summit webpage after the event.
Please register today so we know how many people will attend!
