The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the region, including the City of Alexandria until 10 p.m. tonight Sunday, June 8. A chance for multiple rounds of scattered severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, with damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall is possible.

Residents, businesses, and visitors should tune in to local media for more information and take appropriate actions to keep their households safe. 

The City has teams on standby to respond to downed traffic signals and debris removal.
