Beginning in January 2026, City Hall will temporarily close for renovations. During this time, several City boards, commissions, and the City Council will hold their regular meetings at a new location to ensure public business continues without interruption.

The first meeting in the temporary City Council Chamber at Del Pepper Community Resource Center will take place on January 6, 2026, when the Planning Commission holds its first regular public meeting.

The Alexandria City Council will hold its first meeting in the temporary chambers on January 13, 2026.

Meetings Held at the Del Pepper Community Resource Center

For the duration of the City Hall renovation, the following meetings will be held in the City Council Chamber at Del Pepper Community Resource Center:

  • Alexandria City Council Legislative Meetings
  • Alexandria City Council Public Hearings
  • Board of Architectural Review (BAR) Public Hearings
  • Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) Public Hearings
  • Planning Commission

Meeting dates, times, and public participation options will remain the same unless otherwise noted. Residents should review individual meeting agendas for the most current information.
