City Now Accepting Comments on CFY 2025 Annual Action Plan for Housing and Community Development

The City of Alexandria's Draft One-Year Action Plan for Housing and Community Development for the period July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 is now available for public comment through Friday, April 19.  The City’s Draft City Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 One-Year Action Plan has been developed in accordance with guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and detail the City's proposed use of Community Development Block Grant and Home Investment Partnership Program funds.

Copies of the City’s Draft FY 2025 Action Plan (accompanied by a Resident Summary) will be available at the Office of Housing, in City libraries, and on the City’s Website: alexandriava.gov/Housing. These documents may be reviewed or picked up at the Office of Housing, located at 421 King Street, Suite 215, Alexandria, VA from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The documents will be in a format accessible to persons with disabilities, upon request to Kim Cadena at kimberly.cadena@alexandriava.gov or 703.746.4990.

Public comments on the Draft One-Year Action Plan may be sent via postal mail to the Office of Housing Attention: Kim Cadena or emailed to kimberly.cadena@alexandriava.gov. Comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 19. Persons wishing to comment may also do so either in writing and/or by providing testimony at the public hearing to be held during the regular meeting of the Alexandria Housing Affordability Advisory Committee on Thursday, April 4, 7 pm to be held in Room 2000 on the second floor of City Hall at 301 King Street, Alexandria.
