The City of Alexandria’s Office of Housing is pleased to announce the availability of affordable homeownership units at The Whitley. The Whitley, a new 78-unit condominium community located at 811 N Columbus Street, Alexandria, VA, is anticipated to open in January 2026. Eight affordable condominium units, ranging in size from one-bedroom to three-bedroom and den units, will be available to income-eligible, first-time homebuyers that live or work in the City of Alexandria, VA. One two-bedroom unit is designed as an accessible unit.  

The City is accepting applications for the affordable units starting Friday, September 26 through Friday, October 24, 2025 at 5 p.m. Due to anticipated high demand, eligible homebuyers will be selected through a lottery.
