The City of Alexandria’s Office of Housing is accepting applications for eight affordable homeownership units at The Whitley. For detailed information on eligibility requirements and the application process, please click here and review each section. The Whitley, a new 78-unit condominium community located at 811 N Columbus Street, Alexandria, VA, is anticipated to open in January 2026. Eight affordable condominium units, ranging in size from one-bedroom to three-bedroom and den units, will be available to income-eligible, first-time homebuyers that live or work in the City of Alexandria, VA. One two-bedroom unit is designed as an accessible unit.  

The City continues to accept applications through Friday, October 24, 2025 at 5 p.m. Due to anticipated high demand, eligible homebuyers will be selected through a lottery.
