The City of Alexandria reminds community members to share their feedback on the proposed improvements to John Ewald Park, located at 4452 Duke Street. The public comment period is open through Wednesday, May 21, and your input is essential to shaping the final park recommendations.

Feedback may be submitted in the following ways:

  • Complete the online survey
  • Email written comments to Judy Lo at judy.lo@alexandriava.gov
  • Mail comments to:
City of Alexandria, Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities
     Attn: Ewald Park Improvements
1108 Jefferson Street, Alexandria, VA 22314

Your input will help inform the final Park Improvement Plan recommendations. The Park and Recreation Commission will receive and take action on the final recommendations, scheduled for public hearing at the June 26 Park and Recreation Commission meeting.

Park and Recreation Commission Public Hearing

  • When: Thursday, June 26, 7 p.m.
  • Where: TBD

John Ewald Park is a 3.88-acre neighborhood park in Alexandria’s West End, currently featuring a lighted basketball court, playground, parking lot, and open grass area. Recommendations for improvements stem from a 2015 park planning process for the City’s 19 Neighborhood Parks.
