Energy and Climate Change Task Force to Discuss Draft Action Plan

Members of the public are invited to attend a meeting of the Energy and Climate Change Task Force to discuss the draft Action Plan and next steps.

The meeting will be held at Charles Houston Recreation Center’s multipurpose room on Tuesday, October 25, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and a virtual option is also available via Zoom; you do not need to register in advance to attend. This will be a working meeting to gain feedback from the Task Force on the draft Energy and Climate Change Action Plan.

Meeting materials are posted on the Energy and Climate Change Action Plan website. Members of the public who wish to provide comments at the meeting or provide written comments should contact Bill Eger at bill.eger@alexandriava.gov no later than 24 hours before the meeting.

Background: The Energy and Climate Change Task Force was established by City Council on September 22, 2020. The task force guides the City of Alexandria during the process of updating the City’s Energy and Climate Change Action Plan (ECCAP), including identifying and evaluating funding and budgeting strategies, specific implementation steps and approaches and methods to measure and track progress against time-specific goals consistent with the Environmental Action Plan 2040.
