Duke Street In Motion Engagement Period and Open House

Duke Street In Motion is holding a third round of public engagement from now through Sunday, April 30 to share findings from technical analysis and collect feedback on two updated concepts for the Duke Street corridor.

The main event of this round of public engagement is an open house on Thursday, April 20 at Bishop Ireton, 201 Cambridge Rd. (enter at Door 15) from 5:00 - 8:30 p.m. Drop in any time to talk to the Project Team and provide your feedback. At 7:30 p.m., there will be a comment and question forum.

All feedback will be posted on the project website and shared with the Duke Street In Motion Advisory Group (AG), which will be making a recommendation to City Council on Thursday, May 25 on a preferred concept for the busway for each segment of the corridor as well as on curb features such as sidewalks, shared use paths, and bicycling facilities.

Learn More: A recorded community presentation is available on the project website, along with the PDF presentation, updated FAQs, Advisory Group meeting recordings and materials, and more.

Duke Street In Motion is reimagining Duke Street to make it a premier transit corridor, while making it safer and more pleasant for everyone traveling between West End Alexandria and King Street Metro Station. Learn more at alexandriava.gov/DukeInMotion.

Complete the feedback form or text “Hello Duke Street” or “Hola Duke Street” to 703.991.2899 to share your input.
