City of Alexandria Invites Community Feedback on Seminary West Safety Improvements Project
The City of Alexandria seeks community feedback on design options for the Seminary West Safety Improvements Project. The purpose of this project is to enhance safety for people of all ages, abilities, and travel modes along Seminary Road between George Mason Drive and North Beauregard Street.
Residents have raised concerns about safety on this street, and the City’s Vision Zero Program identified Seminary Road as a high-crash corridor. Earlier this year, the City was awarded a technical assistance grant through the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ Regional Roadway Safety Program to study the Seminary Road corridor. As part of this effort, the project team looked at traffic and safety conditions, reviewed past community input to understand concerns, and developed design options to help address the issues we heard.

We want to hear from you! There are two ways to participate:
- Complete the online feedback form by May 19
- Attend a virtual community meeting.
