City of Alexandria to Host Neighborhood Meeting for Hooff’s Run Culvert Maintenance and Park Improvements

The City of Alexandria invites community members to attend a neighborhood meeting for upcoming work related to the Hooff’s Run Culvert Maintenance Project on Thursday, April 16 at 11:30 a.m. at the park located between the intersections of East Oak Street and East Walnut Street with Commonwealth Avenue.

At the meeting, City staff from the Department of Transportation & Environmental Services and the Department of Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Activities will present on the upcoming work to the culvert within the park, the impact to public spaces, and improvements to park facilities and tennis courts once the culvert repairs are complete. 

Staff will also be available to answer questions after the presentation. Learn more about the project on the City website.
