Project Description
The Old Town Large Diameter Sewer Rehabilitation project provides for inspection and rehabilitation of large diameter (30 inches and greater) sewers in the City's Old Town/ Combined Sewer System Area. The work is being done as part of the City's Combined Sewer Assessment and Rehabilitation program to preserve the integrity and extend the useful life of the sewer system.
The project consists of three phases, with the planning/ inspection phase to be completed by fall 2026. The design and construction phases are anticipated to begin late 2026 and early 2028, respectively.

Total Budget: $2,657,000
Planning: $0 (Structures and sewers in Old Town were inspected under one project, the Old Town North Rehabilitation – Small Diameter Sewers, Laterals and Manholes project, for total planning level cost.
Design: $110,000
Construction: $2,547,000
Funding Breakdown
This project is funded using Sanitary Sewer enterprise Fund Revenues and is programmed in theCity's Capital Improvement Program.

- Field Inspection/ Condition Assessment - Inspected large diameter sewer mains using CCTV camera per National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) guidelines to document structural and operation and maintenance (O&M) conditions of each sewer.
- Rehabilitation Recommendation - Reviewed inspection reports and photos to determine sewer assets requiring rehabilitation and proper rehabilitation technology.
- Cost Estimate - A planning level cost estimate was performed for design and construction services.
Public notification (project sign and door hangar) of the inspection work was conducted throughout the planning phase.
