The Alexandria City Council is seeking applicants to fill the vacancies on Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority (ARHA). Council will act on these vacancies at the February 24, 2026, City Council meeting.  All applicants must complete a Personal Data Record form electronically via the City’s website at www.alexandriava.gov/application  no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 13, 2026.  Applications received after this deadline will not be forwarded to City Council.  Applications previously submitted for this board within the last six months will be considered at this meeting.

Council will act on these vacancies at the February 10, 2026, City Council meeting. All applicants must complete a Personal Data Record form electronically via the City’s website at www.alexandriava.gov/application  no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 30, 2026. Applications received after this deadline will not be forwarded to City Council.  Applicants may only submit an application for one committee at a time.
 

MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. 

Please note the meaning of the following terminology related to board vacancies:

Expiring Term – denotes a current member's term will be ending soon.  There may or may not be an incumbent applying for the position.

Expired Term - denotes a term completed and no one is in the position.

Applicants may only submit an application to one committee at a time.

Applicants must comply with City Ordinance No. 2452, which states that no appointee shall reside outside of the City of Alexandria unless a residency waiver is granted by Council.
