Project Description
The City of Alexandria is replacing approximately 205 linear feet of existing concrete retaining wall with a vegetative reinforced revetment and bioengineered soil. Additional stream stabilization measures will include clearing out invasive species and planting native vegetation on the stream bank in opposition of the proposed vegetated wall.

Project Budget: $2,500,000
This project is funded by Capital Improvement Program (CIP) stormwater management funds.

Construction Update
The City procured a contractor for construction of this project in early May. Staff will now begin to work with the contractor to finalize the construction plan.

- Monday-Friday: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

- Curbside parking adjacent to the project will be temporarily suspended to provide site access.
