Project Description

The City of Alexandria is stabilizing approximately 900-feet of eroded stream bank on an unnamed tributary in the Walleston Court neighborhood. An unnamed tributary of Taylor Run runs along Francis Hammond Parkway through a City Floodplain Easement on private property. The stream bank is in a state of degradation and subject to severe erosion. The project will establish the boundaries of stream bank stabilization, determine the methods and practices necessary to make the repairs, and then construct the stream bank stabilization infrastructure.
