This project combines visual storytelling through three vertical steles, which are metal structures shaped like buildings.

After researching the city’s history, its diverse activities, and architectural styles, and attending a community meeting, Béatrice aimed to weave together multiple narratives that would engage visitors of all ages in the park. The vertical steles, placed on concrete pedestals, will be visible to those approaching the park or driving by. Each element features cut-out vignettes that invite close inspection.

The visual design reflects an art deco style. The vignettes on the steles (not pictured) draw from historical sources, representing various time periods as well as contemporary themes.

Park Details

Park features will include an interactive fountain, the plaza, and public art.
