The City of Alexandria is seeking community feedback on recommendations to improve John Ewald Park, 4452 Duke Street. Community members are invited to participate in an online survey through September 23 to provide feedback on the park improvement recommendations.

The community comments received will help to prioritize the park improvements and will inform the work to create the park concept design, which will begin this fall. The results of the community survey will be posted on the project webpage. Additional community meetings and engagement on the park concept design will be scheduled from December to March 2025 and will conclude with a Park and Recreation Commission Public Hearing.

The 3.88-acre park, located on the West End, currently has a lighted basketball court, playground, parking lot, and open grass area. The park improvement recommendations were originally established in 2015 after the completion of a park planning process for each of the City’s 19 Neighborhood Parks.
