The City of Alexandria invites the community to provide feedback on the proposed improvements to John Ewald Park, 4452 Duke St. Community members are invited to participate in the public comment period from April 21-May 21. Comments may be submitted through the online survey. Written comments may be sent to Judy Lo, judy.lo@alexandriava.gov  or City of Alexandria, Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities, Attn: Ewald Park Improvements, 1108 Jefferson Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.

The feedback collected will further inform the final Park Improvement Plan recommendations, scheduled for public hearing at the June 26 Park and Recreation Commission meeting.

The 3.88-acre park, located on the West End, currently has a lighted basketball court, playground, parking lot, and open grass area. Park improvement recommendations were originally established in 2015 after the completion of a park planning process for each of the City’s 19 Neighborhood Parks.

Get Involved! Your input will help create a park that is welcoming, accessible, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone.
