City of Alexandria Invites Community Feedback on Initial Design Plans for Improvements Along South Pickett Street

The City of Alexandria’s Department of Transportation & Environmental Services is seeking community input on the initial design plans for the South Pickett Street Corridor Improvements Project. The purpose of this project is to enhance accessibility and safety for transit, pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers along South Pickett Street, from Duke Street to Edsall Road, in accordance with the City’s adopted Alexandria Mobility Plan.

There are two ways to participate:

  1. Complete the online feedback form between April 18 and May 5.
  2. Attend a virtual community meeting.

Thursday, April 25, 2024

https://zoom.us/j/96859301979 or Dial +1.301.715.8592

Meeting ID: 968 5930 1979

Passcode: 559923

The City developed the initial design based on community input collected in late 2023, as well as data analysis and an evaluation of existing conditions on the corridor. After the community comment period closes on May 5, the project team will make a recommendation to the Traffic and Parking Board for consideration at its June 24 Public Hearing.

Additional information is available on the project webpage.
