West Alexandria Transit Center Pop-Up Event: November 19

The City of Alexandria invites community members to a pop-up event at the West Alexandria Transit Center on Wednesday, November 19 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to discuss the planning and design process for the permanent Transit Center structure that will be integrated into the redevelopment of the former Landmark Mall site. The Transit Center is open for service while staff gather community input on final design.

A map of the Landmark redevelopment area, highlighting the new West Alexandria Transit Center on Hecht Street, which runs parallel to Duke Street.

Once complete, the Transit Center will serve two bus rapid transit routes and several local DASH and Metrobus routes, and function as a gathering place and crossroads for the community.

During the pop-up event, project team members will be available to answer questions about the new Transit Center and what’s next for public transportation in the area.

For more information about the West Alexandria Transit Center, visit the project webpage.
