Custody, Visitation and Child Support
Custody and Visitation
The Intake Unit handles requests from residents wanting to file for the custody and visitation of children. The Intake Officer will review the requirements for filing a petition. If you meet the requirements, the Intake Officer will schedule an appointment with you and tell you what information you will need to bring. Appointments must be made with an Intake Officer in order to file for custody and visitation. Typically, at your appointment you need to provide the current contact information for the mother, father and child(ren), which includes current addresses, current phone numbers, dates of birth and social security numbers.
