Greenlief brings over four decades of public service experience, including the past nine years with the City of Alexandria as Assistant Director and Deputy Director of Finance, where he led the Revenue Division. His responsibilities included overseeing the assessment and collection of personal property and business license taxes, trustee taxes, parking citations, and the Tax Relief Program for the Elderly and Disabled. He holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an MPA from George Mason University. His recognitions include the County’s Managerial Excellence Award, GMU’s Wayne F. Anderson Award for Distinguished Public Service, and the 2018 Kate Hanley Public Service Award from Leadership Fairfax.
