POWER HOUR is happening right now! Support Historic Alexandria in #Spring2ACTion

Friends,

Spring2ACTion 2024

#Spring2ACTion’s 7 to 8 p.m. POWER HOUR is taking place right now!

We are hoping to once again win the most individual donors 7-8 p.m. Power Hour Prize, which is worth an additional $500 donation!

Please consider a donation to the Historic Alexandria Museum’s #Spring2ACTION campaign to support the upcoming Moss Kendrix - Reframing the Black Image at the Alexandria Black History Museum.

Opening in June 2024, this exhibit will feature the life and work of Moss H. Kendrix, the father of Black Advertising. Our curatorial staff will highlight how Kendrix transformed the public relations industry and consumerism by showcasing Black families, athletes, musicians, and celebrities in ads for Coca-Cola and other popular household products.

With the support of a 2021 Institute for Museum and Library Sciences (IMLS) grant, archival materials have been digitized and made available for exhibition, many for the first time.

Make your gift today to support the Historic Alexandria Museums in #Spring2Action. Donations in any amount up until 11:59 p.m. tonight are appreciated!
