Come explore the special exhibition, "Lewis Cass White: Preserving the Legacy of Fort Stevens," at Fort Ward Museum & Historic Site on Saturday, November 15, from 11 a.m. to noon. The program begins with the special exhibition “Lewis Cass White: Preserving the Legacy of Fort Stevens,” which highlights the Civil War veteran’s efforts to commemorate the only battle fought in the Defenses of Washington. Personal accounts, documents, photographs, and veterans' memorabilia are featured to tell this story.
