The Office of Historic Alexandria is participating in the Museum Social Impact in Practice (MSIIP) study, a national initiative led by the American Alliance of Museums and funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The Office of Historic Alexandria is one of forty institutions participating in this study from across the nation selected after a competitive process.

Social Impact in Practice Study

To learn more and sign up, visit Museum Social Impact Survey | City of Alexandria, VA

In order to succeed, Historic Alexandria is looking for at least 150 individuals to participate in the survey.  If selected based on some simple qualifications, participants will visit three different Historic Alexandria museums once each between now and the end of July. Participants will then complete a 30-minute survey to share how their experiences at the museums impacted various outcomes.

For completing the survey, participants will receive a special thank you gift and be invited to a special event in November sharing the results, plus free admission into the ALXHistoryLovers Society.

Don’t miss your chance to help the Office of Historic Alexandria understand the significant value it brings to the community. Visit Museum Social Impact Survey | City of Alexandria, VA to sign up!

The American Alliance of Museums (AAM) is the only organization representing the entire museum field, from art and history museums to science centers and zoos. Since 1906, AAM has been championing museums through advocacy and providing museum professionals with the resources, knowledge, inspiration, and connections they need to move the field forward.

AAM’s Alliance of 35,000 museums and museum professionals seeks to better our communities, and our world, through collaborative human-centered experiences, education, and connection to histories, cultures, the natural world, and one another.
