The Department of Project Implementation is responsible for the implementation of capital infrastructure projects, as well as coordinating and planning complex, multi-departmental projects such as the Waterfront Small Area Plan Implementation. Projects include transportation drainage, sanitary sewer improvements, flood mitigation and park design.  Information on our active, planned and completed projects is provided below.

Fayette Streetscape: Planned Power Interruption 

On Wednesday, June 19, 2019, Dominion Energy Virginia will be relocating power poles and making power grid improvements along N. Fayette Street. Power to customers in the project's vicinity will be interrupted between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to allow for this work to be completed safely. The rain date is Thursday, June 20, 2019. Questions regarding this outage should be directed to Tyler Holt of Dominion Energy Virginia at 571.203.5329. Please refer to project number 10100387.
