Celebrate Story Time for Little Historians at the Alexandria Black History Museum — Tomorrow!

Join Oumie, your favorite Fulani storyteller, this Saturday, November 8th at 10 a.m. at the Alexandria Black History Museum!

This month’s storytime celebrates gratitude, truth, and courage — honoring heroes who stood tall and spoke up for what’s right. Together, we’ll journey through the stories of:

Story Time for Little Historians July 2025
  • Benjamin Banneker – the brilliant clockmaker who turned curiosity into invention.
  • Sojourner Truth – the freedom fighter who walked tall and spoke truth to power.
  • Shirley Chisholm – the trailblazer who dared to lead and brought her own “folding chair.”

This interactive storytime invites children to read, reflect, and imagine alongside Oumie — discovering that their own stories matter too.

Perfect for ages 5–10, Storytime mixes history, culture, and imagination—where learning is always an adventure!

Come early, bring your curiosity, and let’s make history together — one story at a time!
